Commercial Banking (SME ) as part of Retail banking Group , supports micro-business, and SME customers in managing their finances through expert advice and the provision of a full suite of specialist products and services in both conventional and Shari’ah-compliant banking. The business is committed to driving digital innovation to deliver excellence in customer service. We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Commercial Banking team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

In this role, your key responsibilities include

 

Revenue Generation

Identify target markets/new business opportunities and monitor competitors’ activities/strategies to seize potential opportunities and ensure achievement of targets within the agreed risk parameters of the Bank

 

Performance Monitoring

Monitor and track progress of team against agreed sales plans for assigned territory/portfolios to ensure achievement of targets

 

Relationship Management

 

Review client dossiers to ensure current and future needs are captured and assist/advise clients on new solutions, developments and emerging opportunities

Manage existing dealerships in order to grow sales opportunities for the Business

 

Risk Management

Monitor performance of client portfolios to understand and report on risk profile in order to highlight/update approving authorities with any changes in risk profile

 

People Management

 

Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance

Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation

 

Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

 

Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation

 

Continuous Improvement

 

Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment

 

Customer Service

 

Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

 

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

At least 8 years of experience in business Banking, of which at least 4 years of experience in a senior position managing a sales team

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

Credit and compliance evaluation skills

Problem solving skills

Market knowledge

Relationship management skills

Written and spoken English

Good knowledge of all products and processes covered by the distribution teams
