Private Banking provides high-net-worth clients with an end-to-end banking service to help manage their full banking and investment needs effectively. Our dedicated bankers provide a wide variety of solutions to meet clients’ investment and borrowing requirements, including complex and bespoke loan structuring. Wealth preservation requirements are addressed through a comprehensive wealth planning solution, tailored to individual needs
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Multi-Asset Strategy Development - Develop and communicate clear, actionable investment strategies across interest rates, credit, and FX
- Translate conclusions into guidance for portfolios and client solutions. Review and refresh the strategy regularly, documenting assumptions, inputs, and changing rationales for transparency and efficient client communication
- Investment Insights and Top‑Down Analysis - Produce decision‑useful insights by synthesising macroeconomic data, market pricing, valuation indicators, and risk premia across developed and emerging markets
- Convert analysis into concise recommendations linked to the Bank’s ‘house view’
- Explain drivers, uncertainties, and risk factors in accessible language so stakeholders and clients can act with confidence under varying market conditions and constraints
- Research Publications and Presentations - Contribute to the creation of high-quality research publications and presentations that translate complex investment analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
- Ensure that all materials are tailored to the needs of both internal stakeholders and clients, using data visualization and storytelling techniques to enhance understanding and engagement
- Track feedback and readership to continuously improve content relevance and impact
- Stakeholder Engagement and Dissemination - Ensure that investment strategies and insights are effectively disseminated to key stakeholders, including relationship managers, product teams, and clients
- Facilitate knowledge sharing through regular briefings, workshops, and written communications
- Provide timely updates on market developments and strategy changes to support informed decision-making
- Risk Management and Governance - Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to ensure that all investment strategies, research publications, and communications adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Maintain thorough documentation of assumptions, methodologies, and decision-making processes
- Participate in governance forums when needed, to review and validate strategies, ensuring transparency and accountability in all activities
- Bond Market Ranking - Collectively with other members of the investment strategy team, rank bond markets and identify preferred segments within the context of a frequent general review of data in order to support the development of the Bank’s investment ‘house view’
- Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products, and innovation
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment
- Customer Service - Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 8 years of experience in investment strategy, investment research or portfolio management within Banking, Asset Management, or Wealth Management with strong expertise in fixed income and FX and a solid quantitative skill set knowledge of capital markets
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Alternative Investment Analysts (CAIA)
- Fixed Income and (FX) Research
- Multi-Asset Macroeconomic Analysis (Bloomberg, Refinitiv)
- Credit and Rates Valuation

- Strong Analytical and Quantitative Capabilities

- Advanced Microsoft Office Knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint.
- English Fluency
- Arabic Preferred
