Role Overview
To lead and manage the delivery and integration of digital and technology initiatives across Lending and Financing by translating and shaping end-to-end customer journeys, embedding credit decisioning seamlessly within digital channels, and aligning credit policy, decisioning engines, data and platforms in order to enable straight-through processing (STP), predictable delivery and consistent, scalable customer outcomes aligned to the Bank’s operating model
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end delivery of digital and technology initiatives across Lending and Financing, ensuring alignment with the Corporate, Wealth and Investment Banking Group (CWIBG) centralised delivery operating model and achievement of agreed outcomes
- Shape and integrate end‑to‑end lending and financing customer journeys by embedding credit decisioning capabilities seamlessly within digital channels and acting as the integrator across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Translate approved priorities into structured delivery plans covering scope, milestones, dependencies, leading cross‑functional coordination across Product,
- Translate portfolio‑level priorities into a structured delivery roadmap for Lending and Financing, enabling effective sequencing of initiatives and allocation of delivery capacity
- Act as the delivery partner with Lending Product Heads, Credit Risk and Group Technology to align credit strategy, policy, architecture and delivery execution
- Facilitate agreement on delivery scope, requirements and sequencing, and coordinate Product and Technology decision points to maintain delivery continuity and resolve dependencies
- Validate delivery readiness with Operations and client service teams to support adoption and process integration
- Drive delivery of Artificial Intelligence‑driven credit decisioning, workflow automation and risk analytics capabilities within Lending and Financing
- Align Artificial Intelligence and data delivery with enterprise governance and regulatory requirements, and coordinate with Data, Artificial Intelligence and Group Technology teams to translate approved use cases into defined delivery scope
- Represent Lending and Financing delivery in agreed governance forums to support effective oversight and decision making
- Oversee vendor and partner delivery performance to ensure adherence to agreed scope, timelines and quality standards
- Manage the effective achievement of the team’s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation
- Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
· At least 8 years experience in Banking and Financial Services, with exposure to Lending, Credit, Structured Finance or related product areas, including delivery of Digital and Technology initiatives across the Credit lifecycle within regulated environments
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
· Programme or portfolio management certification (e.g. MSP, PMP, SAFe, PRINCE2) and/or recognised digital transformation or enterprise delivery credentials.
· Knowledge of Lending and Credit Operating Models and Regulatory Considerations
· Delivery Management Capability Across Digital and Technology Initiatives
· Risk, Dependency and Stakeholder Management Capability
· Ability to Work Effectively with Product, Credit Risk, Operations and Technology Teams
· Financial and Vendor Management Capability
· Strong Communication and Governance Reporting Skills
· Awareness of Data and Artificial Intelligence‑Enabled Lending Solutions
