About the business area

Treasury offers a diverse range of conventional and Islamic banking solutions and is responsible for the Group’s funding, investments, and centralised risk management activities. It manages the Bank’s borrowings, issuance of debt securities, and use of derivatives to mitigate financial risk, while investing in a range of instruments, including green bonds, short-term placements, and corporate and sovereign debt securities.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:  

·  Leading ADCB's Credit Trading business, with responsibility for strategy, portfolio performance, risk management, and trading profitability.

·  Identifying, evaluating, structuring, and executing credit trading opportunities across regional and global markets.

·  Delivering strong risk-adjusted returns while ensuring adherence to approved risk appetite, limits, and governance frameworks.

·  Partnering with Origination and client coverage teams to support transaction structuring and develop innovative credit solutions.

·  Monitoring market developments, credit fundamentals, and portfolio exposures to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

·  Developing and implementing trading and hedging strategies to optimise returns and manage market and credit risk.

·  Building and maintaining strong relationships with market participants, counterparties, investors, and internal stakeholders.

·  Overseeing compliance with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks.

·  Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

·  Contributing to the continued growth and evolution of ADCB's credit markets platform through innovation and market insight.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

·  Minimum 9 years of experience within Credit Trading, Fixed Income Trading, Credit Investments, Structured Credit, or related financial markets environments.

·  Proven track record of managing credit portfolios and delivering consistent trading revenues with direct P&L responsibility.

·  Strong expertise across credit products, credit risk assessment, portfolio management, valuation, and market analysis.

·  Experience in structuring and executing complex credit transactions within a banking or institutional trading environment.

·  Deep understanding of market, credit, liquidity, and counterparty risks, together with relevant regulatory requirements.

·  Demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into profitable trading strategies.

·  Experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a fast-paced financial markets environment.

·  Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.

·  Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, MBA, or a Master's degree would be advantageous.

·  Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
