We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Carry out verification, authorisation, clearing of all outward, inward, post dated cheques (PDC), returned cheques PDC cheque discounting, foreign inward or outward bills for collection received through the image cheque clearing system (ICCS)/internal departments/branches and Bank’s clients within the user approval limits and within time frame stipulated by CBUSE rules and regulations in order to deliver the agreed service levels with no operational loss to the Bank.
- Perform CBUAE account reconciliation, PDC reconciliation and other respective General Ledger (GL) accounts within the defined period in order to mitigate any adverse financial impact for the customer as well as the Bank arising from unsettled entries, delays, posting errors or system issues.
- Oversee care and diligence in the conduct of day to day activities to protect the Department from financial and non-financial loss to ensure that best practice is shared and promoted.
- Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience:
- At least 3 years of Banking experience with 3 years in centralised cheque clearing, remittances or payments processing area.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
- Banking applications
- Advanced skills in Word and Excel
- Basic skills in PowerPoint
- Written and verbal communication (English)
- Sound analytical skills
- Problem solving skills
- Self-motivated and collaborative
