About the Business Area - Finance

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver and support sustainable cost reduction and management strategies relating to high volume of suppliers within given category(s) of spend to ensure high quality and timely business support.
  • Manage and publish periodic performance monitors within given category(s) as required to ensure full understanding of all details.
  • Support project stakeholders on and after the award of business following the tender process, establish and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier’s personnel and negotiate in order to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
  • Support, review, analyse and approve all tenders from tender request to tender closure to ensure completeness of requirements.
  • Investigate and advise effective alternative solutions to ensure generation of cost benefits to ADCB.
  • Review, analyse all purchases where awards are not made to the lowest bidder to ensure justification exist as per the procurement policy before obtaining manager’s approval.
  • Act as the point-of-contact within the Procurement Department to support end-users request to ensure high standards of quality and high response time.
  • Support internal departments, reviewing and commenting on the completion of progress against the SLA ensuring the fulfilment of obligations by contractors and approve or reject requests for deviation from contract specifications to ensure suppliers’ adherence to agreements.
  • Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance.
  • Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

  • At least 6 years of experience in procurement or financial services with 3 years of experience in managing others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related subject.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
  • Talent in negotiations and networking.
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analysing data.
  • Strong leadership capabilities .
