In this role, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Validate trade booking in systems, reviewing trade confirmation, brokerage invoices, collateral margin/return, static data and release payment messages related to FX, MM, Investments, Derivatives, Collateral Management, Islamic Products (Murabaha and Wakala) and Nostro cash management desk in order to achieve the departmental set targets
  • Supervise day-to-day Treasury operations processes related to trade validation, matching settlements, reconciliations, static data and Nostro Cash Management to ensure adherence with Bank policies and procedures.
  • Source data and prepare reports including financial/regulatory reporting, department Management Information Systems (MIS), Nostro position reporting to MM desk to ensure the reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Perform certain reconciliations like trade, portfolio, accounting, department control reports etc. to ensure the right exposure in the system.

 

 

  • Assist in monitoring operational risk issues by following processes and controls within the Bank’s risk and incident management framework in order to inform the line manager to take actions accordingly.
  • Liaise with internal departments on matters of Treasury operations and Shariah principles to ensure all related functions are executed accurately, within the required timeframes and as per Islamic regulatory standards.

 

 

 

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

 

  • At least 4 years of experience in Treasury Operations handling FX, MM, Investment, Derivatives, Collateral Management and Nostro Cash Management functions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional Certifications in Finance/Accounting/Treasury Operations.
  • Exposure in handling Islamic Treasury products
  • Treasury Product (FX,MM, Investments, Derivatives, Collateral Management) knowledge
  • Treasury workflow knowledge
  • Knowledge of Nostro Cash and Collateral Management processes
  • Well versed in Islamic principles and AAOIFI Sharia Standards
  • Knowledge on Payments systems and messages categories
