We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Group Business Service team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and delivery of next‑generation AI platforms and experiences, including Conversational AI and enterprise knowledge solutions, by providing technical oversight and ensuring consistency across implementations. Build and maintain reusable frameworks for digital and mobile channel integration, ensuring AI solutions deliver secure, reliable, and human‑like interactions at scale while meeting enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. Design and oversee the development of intelligent automation solutions supporting banking operations such as KYC, compliance, customer service, and risk monitoring. Ensure orchestration frameworks, agent workflows, and human‑in‑the‑loop controls are implemented effectively, monitored continuously, and aligned with business and risk expectations
- Oversee the engineering and operationalisation of Generative AI, large language models, and embedding models across business use cases by ensuring standardised deployment, monitoring, and scaling practices. Guide prompt engineering, fine‑tuning approaches, and evaluation methods to ensure model performance, reliability, and responsible usage. Support the implementation of MLOps best practices, including automated retraining, monitoring, and drift management, while ensuring appropriate guardrails for fairness, security, explainability, and compliance. Track and review platform KPIs to support continuous improvement and operational effectiveness
- Provide technical leadership for cloud‑based AI and ML pipelines using Azure and AWS services by ensuring consistent architecture patterns, secure data storage, and efficient processing. Support deployment of foundation models and AI services using serverless and cloud‑native approaches, ensuring solutions meet performance, availability, and operational standards
- Apply Generative AI engineering principles, design patterns, and modular code development
- Use containerization and DevOps practices, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines, for scalable and automated deployments. Evaluate emerging tools (LangChain, CrewAI, Pinecone, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, etc.) for enterprise use. Continuously improve platform reliability scalability, and performance. Continuously improve AI platforms and engineering practices by applying established Generative AI design patterns, modular development approaches, and DevOps practices such as containerisation and CI/CD. Evaluate emerging tools and technologies (LangChain, CrewAI, Pinecone, Azure OpenAI, Bedrock, etc.) for suitability within the enterprise environment and contribute to incremental improvements in platform scalability, reliability, and performance
- Manage self and team in line with ADCB’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance. Organise and supervise the activities and work of the team to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems
- Implement approved departmental policies, processes and procedures, and ensure employee adherence so that work is carried out to the required standard while delivering the required standards of service to customers and stakeholders
- Manage and motivate the team to ensure they contribute to, and participate in, the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the Bank’s standards
- Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 7 years in leading AI/ML engineering, platform development, or large-scale digital product engineering for a large scale brand, with previous experience to implement a digital-only Bank or major digital transformation will be preferred. Proven experience deploying AI/ML solutions at enterprise scale, (preferably in banking/financial services). Hands-on track record in building Conversational AI, deploying Agents and scaling Generative AI platforms and enterprise ML platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related field required. Master’s degree or equivalent in AI/ML is preferred
- AI/ML Engineering and Deployment Proficiency
- Deep learning, LLMs, multimodal models, RAG, vector databases, agentic systems
- NLP/NLU, recommendation engines, personalization
- Programming and Tools proficiency, (Python, QL/NoSQL, GraphQL, REST, FAST APIs, Azure & AWS cloud platforms, MLOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) Data platforms (data lakes, knowledge graphs, vector DBs) BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Superset)
