About the business area - Group Credit
The Credit Group, within the Corporate & Investment Banking Group (CIBG), oversees corporate credit risk management, including Strategic Clients and Government Banking Division, Financial Institutions Division, and Corporate and Mid-Market Banking segment of the Business Banking Group. It evelopss and implements systems and procedures for the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control of credit risk, aligning with the bank's overall Risk framework and Risk Appetite policy.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- To ensure security documentation for approved credit facilities are valid, complete and comply with ADCB’s policies, procedures, approval terms and conditions and regulatory requirements in order to protect ADCB’s risk against credit default
- Review approved credit facilities and prepare the required facility, security/charge documents in accordance with the stipulated terms and conditions in order to protect the Bank against the risk of default on onward submission to business
- Receive the executed security documents from business and conduct vetting of the legal aspects to ensure that Bank’s security documents are in line with the approved terms and conditions and are complete, valid and enforceable
- Provide documentation clearance to CAD and hand over all original executed security documents to custodial officers in order to update the Bank’s systems for subsequent monitoring and follow up
- Liaise with Business/Credit/Legal during the process of preparation or vetting in order to clarify and resolve any ambiguity relating to documentation or other concerns
- Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes and standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
- Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance
- Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 4 years of experience (depending on the complexity of the segment handled) in Banking in a Credit/Credit Administration function and at least 3 years of experience in loan documentation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Banking
- Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Written and spoken English
- Corporate Banking assets products
- Local Banking practice knowledge
- UAE Regulatory practices and legal system
- This position is open to UAE Nationals only
