The Retail Banking Group (RBG) supports retail and micro-business customers in managing their finances, through expert advice and the provision of a full suite of specialist products and services in conventional and Shari’ah compliant banking. In this role, your key responsibilities include:
- Primary responsibility to convert Ecommerce merchant leads referred by WBG internal businesses and source/recruit merchants for ADCB merchant Acquiring. The ASL will be responsible for expanding ADCB’s Ecommerce merchant base which will eventually drive Merchant acquiring volume (from new merchants & conversions).
- Identify Ecommerce Sales KPI in coordination with Ecommerce Sales Manager.
- Prospect for merchant acquiring business in assigned territory.
- Maintain MIS of new signings, and ensure business performance is in line with expectation.
- Maintain DSR for sales calls and sales metrics to ensure the requirements of the Direct Sales Handbook are being followed.
- Follow management information reports and feedback on service quality calls to merchants, and take remedial action to enhance performance.
- Support ‘packaged sales products selling’ skills with WBG team in order to support the sales strategy and achieve desired results
- Monitor and manage customer portfolios to achieve desired quality through cross sell, upsell and retention.
- Identify joint marketing offers from prospect Acquiring merchant & communicate to internal teams.
- Liaise with WBG units to maximize synergies and resolve any issues in order to achieve greater penetration to the Wholesale Banking client base.
- Source & negotiate ADCB merchant acquiring services to competition merchants & ensure desired levels of customer satisfaction are met
- Suggest improvements to Merchant Acquiring policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation
- Identify opportunities to contribute to organizational and departmental change initiatives, programs and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment
- Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- At least 5-8 years of experience in merchant acquiring in a leading bank or at least 4 years of experience in Ecommerce sales role in UAE.
- Post graduate degree/Bachelor in Finance, Information Technology and/or General Management
- Advance Knowledge in Payment Gateway platforms such as CyberSource and MasterCard Payment Gateway Services
- Microsoft Office (Word, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint)
- Written and spoken English
- Team management skills
- Knowledge of merchant network and competition analysis
