Customer Service  Officer - Trade Finance Operations

About the business area:

 

Itmam, a wholly-owned subsidiary, provides banking operational and processing services to all Group sectors, including lending, wealth management, and ATM services.

 Integrated into the Group Business Services (GBS) organisational structure, Itmam operates under its own Board of Directors, comprising Group executive staff members.

 Its structure includes a General Manager overseeing five key operational service divisions: Consumer Operations, Corporate & Investment Banking Operations, Customer Contact Services, Treasury and Syndication Operations, and Shared Services and Operations Management.

 Notably, "Tamooha," the Group's award-winning operations centre initiative, is staffed exclusively by UAE national women.

 

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Line Manager

To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met

 

  • Internal Stakeholders

To coordinate with on a transactional basis

 

  • Peers

To provide support as needed and coordinate with the rest of the teams within Trade Finance Operations

 

  • Colleagues

To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met

To discuss and resolve trade transaction/trade system related issues.

 

  • Unit Head

To provide updates on performance and ensure service delivery objectives are met

 

 

 

 

  • Transaction Administration

Process transactions in line with trade finance policy, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and credit terms and conditions without any errors to ensure they are within agreed timeframes and adhere to Banks policies and procedures

 

  • Stakeholder Management

Liaise with relationship team in order to acquire necessary approvals required for transaction handling to ensure adherence with policies and procedures.

 

  • Information and Record Keeping

Maintain records and information related to the transactions and reconciliation of accounts to ensure they are in line with the Bank’s standards

 

  • Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures

Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholder.

 

 

 

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum Experience

At least 3 years of experience in Trade Finance with knowledge of Banking and accounting systems for core trade products

  • Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Banking/Business/Accounting or equivalent

  • Knowledge and Skills    

Verbal and written skills

MS office - Excel and Access
