About the business area

The Retail Banking Group (RBG) supports retail and micro-business customers in managing their finances, through expert advice and the provision of a full suite of specialist products and services in conventional and Shari’ah compliant banking. We are actively seeking an ambitious professional to join our Retail Banking team at ADCB to work alongside passionate colleagues who share your ambition to redefine excellence in UAE banking.

 

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

  • Asset Growth/Portfolio Management - Assess customer needs/requirements and assist in defining customer communications strategy, identify potential business acquisitions and growth opportunities, review and approve all leverage cases, sign off on all transactions of over US$ 300K, provide oversight on all first time leverage requests and review all early sales of securities/those involving large losses in order to support wealth management’s customer value propositions across customer segments.
  • Proposition/Product Development - Act as the voice of the client internally to assist the Investment and Bancassurance product managers in developing a cohesive long term proposition/product strategy and for each wealth business which informs.
  • External advisory services - Provide advice and guidance to external clients and manage all complaints and referred call-backs in order to ensure clients understand wealth management solutions and minimise any client concerns or complaints.
  • Budget management - Contribute to the preparation of the business area’s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon.
  • Internal advice and guidance - Act as a subject matter expert, provide a centre of expertise and provide training for relationship managers across segments for wealth management solutions to ensure adequate knowledge of wealth management solutions and improve the quality of the investment book.
  • Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures - Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.
  • Self-Management - Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own contribution to business performance.
  • Customer Service - Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions.

 

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry with solid Banking and investment/insurance experience, including sales
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant specialisation
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Planning Designation Course from a Reputable Institute, Accredited Financial Analyst, Certified Investment Professional, Certificate in Quantitative Finance, Certified International Investment Analyst.
  • Master Financial Risk Manager (FRM), International Compliance Association (ICA) Specialist or Certificate in Conduct Risk
  • Knowledge of sales and financial products including leveraged solutions
  • Knowledge of financial markets, including products such as Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded-Funds (ETFs) Bonds
