In this role, your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Relationship Management and Customer Advisory- Provide banking support to walkin and assigned customers by understanding their financial needs and fulfilling customer requests across financial and nonfinancial transactions. Build and sustain effective customer relationships through professional interactions, needsbased conversations, and timely followups to support customer satisfaction, retention, and longterm relationship value in line with branch objectives and service expectations
  • Customer Transactions and Counter Services- Perform all teller cash and noncash counter transactions accurately, efficiently, and confidentially within agreed service turnaround times, ensuring strict adherence to approved procedures and control requirements. Handle deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cheques, and other branch banking services professionally, support related backoffice processing activities, and promptly escalate discrepancies, exceptions, or operational issues to minimize errors and operational risk
  • Audit, Compliance and Risk Awareness- Adhere to Know Your Customer (KYC), AntiMoney Laundering (AML), sanctions, and regulatory requirements in all activities to safeguard the bank from financial and nonfinancial loss. Apply established controls, including dual control processes, and follow defined escalation protocols to ensure effective risk management. Maintain accurate records and promptly report suspicious activities, incidents, or control weaknesses in line with ADCB policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures-Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders
  • Self-Management- Manage self in line with the Bank’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximize own contribution to business performance
  • Customer Service- Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the Bank’s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

 

The ideal candidate should have the following experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in Branch Banking, Retail Banking Operations, or Customer Service within a Banking or Financial Services Environment, with exposure to Customer Transactions, Branch Operations, Service Delivery, and Regulatory and Compliance Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics or a related discipline
  • Branch Banking Operations
  • Cash and NonCash Transaction Processing
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Retail Banking Products and Services
  • Operational Risk Awareness and Control including KYC and AML
  • Banking Systems and Digital Channels
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Interpersonal, Multitasking and Time Management Skills
